Does it ever drive you mad when you suddenly can’t continue streaming or working? We’re here to help! We’re Teko.ph, the largest aircon, appliance, and computer services provider in the Philippines, with troubleshooting tips if you find yourself with no access to internet.
Do These First If You Have No Access to Internet
- Restart your modem or router.
This is the first step that you should take to troubleshoot internet issues. Check if the LED indicator lights from the modem are blinking or with red lights. Take note of these lights and the time so you can report it to your Internet Service Provider.
Next, unplug it for about 30 seconds, and then plug it back in. Wait for a few minutes before checking to see if your internet connection is restored.
- Check your wires or cables.
What if, after experiencing no access to internet for a few hours, you realize that the culprit is just a loose cable? It’s really a simple thing, yet it’s often overlooked. Always make sure to plug the cables in securely.
If you’re using an Ethernet cable, try to use another one if it does not work.
- Test the connection using another device.
It’s also possible that the problem is with your computer or smartphone. Try to connect to the internet using another available device.
In the Wi-Fi settings, “Forget” the network, and then try to reconnect.
- Check your ISP’s social media pages.
Sometimes, the problem is with your ISP. In the Philippines, it’s common for some networks to have internet outages due to severe weather conditions or just heavy rains.
Simply visit their official social media pages and check for outage schedules or technical problems on their end.
- Use alternative connections.
If you’re working on an urgent project or you need to reconnect as soon as possible, try other options! You may look for a public Wi-Fi connection, but we recommend not accessing sensitive information like bank accounts.
You may also use your mobile data, if available.
