Everest Breathe Series Review: Superb Air-Cleaning Aircon

3 Mins read

Recent world events taught us the essence of having clean indoor air. Beyond face masks, we all realize how important it is to have extra protection, right? We’re Teko.ph, the largest aircon and appliance services provider in the Philippines, and we’re here to introduce to you a product line that stands out in terms of air cleaning technology: the Everest Breathe Series.

About Everest Appliances

This brand is a subsidiary of the renowned Trademaster Corporation, which is also famous for producing Changchong televisions and Greenpower lamps. You can rest assured it’s a reliable brand with over 20 years of expertise.

According to the company, its product design philosophy is based on quality, innovation, and always keeping the customer’s needs in mind. Besides air conditioners, they also produce refrigerators, televisions, washing machines, air purifiers, and other home appliances and accessories.

Everest Appliances has been a key player in ushering in modern technology and elevating society since its inception in 2008. The people behind it are passionate about building an institution that utilizes modern technology to craft stylish, comfortable homes.

Everest Breathe Series Aircon

The Breathe Series is one of Everest’s newest product lines to date. Although it’s not one of the first brands to create aircon products centered around air cleaning, it does offer some innovative features for an aircon. Let’s look closer at the factors that make the Breathe Series breathtaking (pun intended!)

Antivirus Filter

This product line is designed for both commercial and domestic purposes and was built explicitly for purifying and filtering the air inside your home or office. It comes with an antivirus filter which ensures that harmful bacteria and viruses are kept at bay from entering your premises.

Now, virtually all aircon manufacturers talk about state-of-the-art filters, and truth be told, the antivirus and air-purifying feature has become a standard marketing quip with empty promises. However, Everest has done it differently and appeared to have sufficient technology to back up its claim.

Bear with us as we attempt to shed some light on how Everest’s antivirus filter works. Once the UV light shines on the Titanium Dioxide filter, electrons combine with airborne water molecules to form highly reactive hydroxyl ions. These ions will combine with atmospheric contaminants, transforming them into far safer substances like carbon dioxide and water.

Built-in UVC Sterilizer

Traditionally, we use UV radiation to sterilize water, surfaces, and the air. UV air purifiers are meant to use UV-C light to destroy airborne pathogens and germs such as mold, bacteria, and viruses. Currently, UV-C air purifiers are known as standalone devices or as systems fitted into existing air conditioning units. As air flows through the device, it passes ultraviolet (UV) lamps that disinfect the atmosphere through direct germicidal irradiation.

Impressively, the UVC in the Breathe Series products is of the “third-generation.” It has a 30-degree working angle, a considerably more powerful light gathering than the previous two generations, and is 200 percent more potent in terms of sterilization than its predecessors.

Self-Cleaning Technology

A self-cleaning system helps remove the dust and dirt present on the inner parts of the unit. It also keeps them clean so that your machine can function appropriately for an extended period of time. In the Everest Breathe Series units, when the self-clean function turns on, the unit sharply drops the temperature of the evaporator, thereby producing frost. Then its turbo heating mechanism will raise the unit’s temperature to melt the ice and dry the unit. Through this, all dust is removed, and bacteria are eliminated. Pretty neat, right?

Mildew Proofing

A mildew-proofing feature is essential to protect the AC from mildew and mold. If a person has a well-insulated apartment, then the AC can be used without any problem. But suppose a person lives in an uninsulated apartment or a poorly insulated house. In that case, he has to use the mildew-proofing feature to prevent any damage to his aircon. Everest aircons are programmed to keep the fans running for 3 minutes after the aircon turns off, thus protecting the unit from mildew.

Breathing Hole Design

Many people are still not familiar with the concept of breathing holes, but it’s one of the essential features of an aircon. The primary function of these holes is to provide fresh air to your home. Stale and stagnant indoor air will fill your home if you don’t have a sound ventilation system. This will make you feel uncomfortable and unable to breathe properly. Everest Breathe Series units come with a breathing hole on the side of the unit, increasing airflow by a good 8%.

Wide Array of Capacities Available

The Breathe Series comes in four capacities for any room size. Units are available in 1HP, 1.5, 2HP, and 2.5HP.
